Hugh Trabandt has spent his entire life with horses. His artistic talent and hands-on knowledge of the horse makes him one of America’s most talented animal bronze sculptors. Being a passionate traveler and a student of animal behavior has repeatedly taken him to Africa and other countries where he obtained first-hand knowledge of wildlife around the world, which can be seen in his bronze art.
Hugh and his family own and operate the Stables at the Broadmoor as a family business. His love of horses and his awe of the beauty of nature have led him to this life that celebrates both nature and horses.
Trabandt’s bronzes range in theme from American wildlife to world wildlife and endangered species, Civil War scenes and adventurous moments of the Old West, with particular emphasis on the role and majesty of the horse.
