Directions to Stables at the Broadmoor:

 

Exit 138 west from Highway I-25 on Lake Avenue/Circle Drive. In front of the Broadmoor Hotel, either:

 

Follow the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo signs to the right around the hotel until you get to the Old Stage Road and turn right. (You will see signs for the Stables at the Broadmoor and a large masonry sign that says “Chey. Mtn. Zoo 1 mile).

 

OR: Go to the left in front of the Broadmoor Hotel keeping to your right until you come to a stop sign. The road directly across is Old Stage Road.

 

Then set your odometer and go 5.8 miles. The road soon becomes gravel and contains many curves as you climb into the Pike National Forest on the road used by stage coaches years ago. It is a scenic but slow drive of about 20 minutes for the semi-adventurous. The Stables will be on your left.

 

Old Stage Ranch Cabin: Continue on Old Stage Road .4 mi past the Stables at the Broadmoor. The cabin is on your left.

 

Cather Springs Ranch Cabin: Continue past the Old Stage Ranch approximately  100 feet and turn to the left. Go .7 mile until you see the gate on the right which says “Cather Springs Ranch”. Inside the gate you drive about 1/8 mile until you come to the cabin in the valley.
